Origin: In the old series of films, King Ghidora is a space monster who comes to earth inside a meteor. In the movie Godzilla vs King Ghidora, it is created by a clever trick by the bad guys: they replace the ailing godzillasaurus on Lagos island) with 3 genetically engineered pets. These monsters are exposed to the radiation that originally created Godzilla and this creates King Ghidora
On November 01, 2001 Ty introduced two new Ty Classics, both of which were Japanese exclusives. He announced Godzilla and King Ghidorah. However, at the time of the announcement you could not tell whether these were Beanie Babies or some other Ty line. It wasn't until November 14, 2001 that we knew for sure! Ty listed Godzilla & King Ghidorah under the Ty Classics section of the website!
A little later on November 30, 2001 Ty announced one more Japanese Exclusive called Mothra. These were the first ever exclusives to be Ty Classics and not Beanies or Buddies!
After a little bit of research we discovered that a new Godzilla movied titled, Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: The Giant Monsters' General Offensive (english title) will be released on December 15, 2001. The movie is also called G.M.K. for short. These new exclusive Ty Classics will be released and sold at select theaters in Japan during the movies release. | | | Features: | |

Got this as a gift for my lady last Christmas and it's fantastic.
I mean it's hard to write a review for a stuffed animal, but here goes.
The build quality is very impressive on this little guy. Unlike a lot of TY Beanie Babies, King Ghidorah is stuffed nice and plump. This give him alot of rigidity, which makes display easy. He stands on his own and his heads don't fall over.
All the detail work is really nice. The wings are patterned and his eyes have little pupils.
All in all a top notch plush. The only thing that would make it better would be a voice box so I could hear him roar.

This is the perfect addition to any Godzilla fan's collection. The details match closelyto King Ghidora's portrayal in the Godzilla movies. He is made with soft, textured fabric and is quite cuddly too.

My 3 nephews, ages 5-10 are newly Godzilla fans. I ordered 2 of these Ty King Ghidorahs thinking they'll like them - they LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them! I had to order more because they all wanted their very own. This was well made, larger than I expected, great value!

I bought this as a gift for a 4 yr old and he's had nothing but fun playing with it! What's even better is that these toys are available in the stuffed animal version so when smaller kids get over zealous recreating Godzilla battle scenes they don't get hurt as they could with vinyl toys! Overall good quality construction-- to be expected from TY brand. I'm very happy with this purchase.
